It takes a lot of time and effort to breed ethically. It is truly a labor of love.
We love this breed so much & we know you will too.
At Mountain Crest Maine Coons, the health, structure, and longevity of our lines is a top priority. Our breeding cats undergo extensive health screening, including:
• Annual echocardiograms performed by board-certified cardiologists
• Routine bloodwork and wellness examinations
• Patella (knee) grading
• Comprehensive DNA genetic testing
• Hip evaluations submitted to PawPeds
As we continue to strengthen our program, we will also be incorporating PennHIP hip evaluations beginning in 2026. PennHIP provides a more advanced assessment of hip joint stability and offers additional insight beyond traditional hip screening, allowing us to make even more informed breeding decisions while continuing to support the structural quality of the offspring we produce.
Because of our continued investment in comprehensive health testing and preventative screening, our kitten pricing will increase effective April 1st, 2026.
Families who have already submitted an application prior to this announcement will be grandfathered at the current pricing for 2026 litters only. We truly appreciate the continued support of our program and the families who trust us with their future companions.

Litter “S” – DOB August 4th, 2026
Introducing Venezia’s beautiful litter!
We’re so excited to finally share these little ones with you! This litter is extra special to us because Venezia was born right here in our cattery. She’s a polydactyl girl, but funnily enough, only 1 inherited this.
These kittens truly have the best personalities. Overall, they are such a lovely group… calm-natured, sweet, playful, and incredibly easy to fall in love with. They are all on the larger side for their age, which isn’t surprising since they are Grizzly’s babies! Everyone who meets them absolutely adores them.
This litter has also had a bit of a unique upbringing for Mountain Crest. This was a one-time pairing and arrangement with a very close friend of ours in Idaho, who has been raising the litter directly under our guidance. While we don’t typically have our litters raised outside of our own home, these babies have been raised following the exact same standards, routines, care, and expectations we have for every kitten.
Because of this special arrangement, these kittens can be picked up in Nampa, Idaho or Salt Lake City, Utah. And, of course, our regular flight nanny options are still available for families who live farther away.
Applications will open on October 1st. They will be ready to join their new families around the end of October/beginning of November. We look forward to introducing each kitten individually as they continue to grow!

She loves new people and often the favorite of new visitors with how outgoing she is. She is the most cuddly kitten in the litter.
Litter “U” – DOB August 21th, 2026
Introducing our Urban Legends Litter! 🤍
This is a bittersweet litter for us, as it will be Mango’s final litter. She recently turned 4 years old and has been such a wonderful mama over the years. The Sire is our Grand Champion, Hans!
This is actually a repeat pairing for us! Their previous litter is now over a year old, and those kittens are doing wonderfully and are so loved by their families. The kittens from that litter have developed absolutely fabulous coats with beautiful, full manes, although all that fluff does require a little extra upkeep!
This pairing also has greater genetic diversity than the average Maine Coon, which is something we are especially proud of.
Personality-wise, this bunch is incredibly sweet, social, and loving. They do have a slightly more thoughtful side when it comes to loud sounds or unfamiliar experiences, and some may take a little longer to feel comfortable in new situations. We spend a lot of time gently introducing our kittens to different sounds, people, and experiences throughout their time with us to help build that confidence.
Every kitten builds confidence at their own pace. These are simply our observations of them right now, and their personalities will continue to grow and evolve as they get older. Once these babies feel comfortable, they are just the loveliest kittens with so much affection to give. We couldn’t have asked for a sweeter group of kittens to be Mango’s final litter!
We will open applications on October 9th. They will be able to go home late November / early December.
