Mountain Crest Maine Coons
Welcome to Mountain Crest Maine Coons. We are located in Salt Lake City, Utah but our kittens are living all throughout the United States. Our carefully chosen kings and queens come from amazing bloodlines. We pay close attention to pedigrees, genetics & temperaments of our breeding cats. With our goal to give you a loving companion that you can cherish through the years as we have with ours.
We are a small cattery and all of our cats live with us as family. Each litter is raised with so much care and love. We want your new family member to not only be healthy when going home to you but well socialized.
We do DNA, heart + hip testing. All of our cats are negative for FELV / FIV. We are TICA registered and follow their code of ethics.
We offer pickup in Salt Lake City, Utah area or we can also make personal delivery anywhere in the USA.

Our Mission
We do hip + heart testing on our breeding cats but one of our goals as a cattery is to pay close attention to our inbreeding percentages we are producing.
Maine coons are a strong breed but purebred species in general – the gene pool can become limited. This leads to things like lower immune, genetic & intelligence problems.
With the help of Judith Schuliz (MasterWeaver) we have been able to outcross in our cattery. And produce significantly lower COI’s than average. We want our maine coons to be happy, healthy and smart!
Polydactyl Maine Coons
Both of our boys are polydactyls. Jean is a hemingway poly & Hans is a pattypaw. This means each litter we have there is a possibility for extra-toed kittens.
They’re no adverse documented effects of the polydactyl gene. It’s said that 40% of the Maine Coon breed originally was polydactyl – it helped them tread through the snow. They are a little bit more rare now but we love them!
So whether you are a fan of the extra toe beans or not we will have both standard and poly kittens.
